Stervia and Utania on a common position about International Law of the Sea

The Stervian Government today officially approved the position of Utan Krysaror about the Guwimithian Strait, explaining that Utania's statement is in line with Stervia's view of the Law of the Sea.

TeleTalk sale winners : Belson and Vinnsiminn

The SEFIDE (Department of Finance, Industry and Economic Development), announced that the winners of the restricted bid sale were Belson Corp. of Utania and Vinnsiminn ASA of Vingarmark.
The government decided to sell 15 % to Belson, 5% to Vinnsiminn ASA within the legal framework of the restricted bid sale, and to sell another 5% to Vinnsiminn ASA as a direct, negotiated transaction.

Vingarmark's SHØP to invest in Stervia

The Economic Development Ministry FORIN unit helps SHØP in its decision to open 18 stores throughout Stervia
Vingarmark’s SHØP announced its decision to open up to 18 stores throughout the Confederation. The FORIN (Foreign Investment Agency, a special unit within the Federal Department of Finance, Industry and Economic Development) helps SHOP in finding convenient locations in the main Stervian cities, and provided advice on legal & fiscal issues about business in Stervia, as well as about filing applications for foreign investment tax-exemption programs (which are run by the States ; investment support policy is largely in the hands of local powers, the FORIN acting as coordination unit).
There is absolutely no limit whatsoever for foreign companies to open stores or subsidiaries in Stervia (on the other hand, the FRB - Federal Republic of Brolecia - was very well known for bureaucratic policies on that issue).

Establishment of diplo relations with Utania a key move in Stervia's foreign policy

Foreign Affairs Secretary Jeremy Volney confirmed today the agreement between Stervia and Utania to establish diplomatic links between the two countries.
The Palais Vermeer (Stervian Foreign Affairs Department House) announced that Jan Deligny will be proposed to the Utanian Government as ambassador-designate. The Confederation also granted its agrément to the appointment of Robert Obaj as Utanian ambassador to Stervia in Blakelock.

Zartanian Consul-General to Blakelock expected on April 7th

The Foreign Affairs Department of Stervia and its Zartanian counterpart have agreed on details for the official arrival of the first-ever Zartanian Consul-General in Blakelock.
Cdr Natasha du Mareq, IZN, is expected to arrive at Loic Markssen AFB near Blakelock on Monday, April 7th, 303. The Stervian Consul-General in Imperial City, Aric de Hautmont, will leave for Zartania on April the 10th, 303. His resume :

Former Brolecian and Stervian TG passports obsolete

As of April 2nd, 303, all former types of Brolecian and Stervian travel documents are obsolete.
This includes special and temporary travel documents issued by the Transitional Government before the proclamation of the Stervian Confederation.
The Stervian Government does not extend its diplomatic protection to holders of these documents anymore. Foreign Governments have been officially asked to refuse them. Any person still holding these documents are invited to contact ASAP the nearest Stervian consular office, or via e-mail the Bureau of Stervian Citizens Abroad / Bureau des Sterviens à l’Etranger (bse.secae@nofaultfound.net). Fed State to sell 20% of TeleTalk, foreign applicants welcome

Anne Letellier, Secretary of Finance, Industry and Economic Development, announced that the Federal State will sell 20% of the total 79% it holds in the public-owned national telecom company.
The objective is to reduce the State ownership at 30% before June 304.
Foreign investment is encouraged, especially with significant telecom partners able to cooperate in the deployment of a high-bandwidth, nationwide internet network. The first phase of this deployment has been completed in February 303 by SterNet, the ad-hoc subsidiary company of TeleTalk ZB.
Applicants must contact the Finance, Industry and Economic Development Department.

Diplomatic talks in progress with Utania

The Foreign Affairs Department has admitted during a press conference held at the Palais Vermeer (Foreign Affairs Department House) yesterday in Blakelock that talks are under way with the office of the new Utanian president.
An envoy from the Stervian Government is expected to depart for Utan Krysaror on Tuesday, April 7th, 303 to discuss exchange of embassies, trade, investment and cultural cooperation with the Utanian foreign office.

Caledon accepts Stervian offer, designates ambassador

Sir Donald McCauley was appointed ambassador of the Kingdom of Caledon to Stervia in Blakelock, the Foreign Affairs Dept. announced on Feb. 8.
Blakelock's diplomatic activism keeps getting results as key-neighbour Caledon, seen by the Stervian Government as a stabilization force in the region, accepted the offer to establish diplomatic relations. Ambassador-designate Aymeric Thomaszoon is expected to depart for Eidyn before the end of February to present HM James VI with his credentials. Stervian Guards will accompany him with the Seal of the Confederation.

The Stervian Government formally sent its greetings to Porto Capital for the first anniversary of this neighbour. Even though the border between the two countries is still closed, the government of the new Stervian nation emphasized the natural friendship between the peoples of the two countries, both made out of parts of former Brolecia.

SCS Branduin fires first foreign vessel salute to new Gichadian president

Stervian Navy cheered by local population
SCS(Stervian Confederation Ship) Branduin, a heavy helicopter carrier in service with the 2nd Fleet, arrived on Sunday in Port Cote and fired the first foreign fleet's official salute to the first elected President. Jeremy Volney will attend induction ceremonies for first elected Gichadian president in Port Cote
Jeremy Volney, State Counsellor for Foreign Affairs, will depart on dec. 22 from Loic Markssen AFB onboard a Stervian Air Force aircraft in service with the GVTS (Government VIP Transport Squadron). He is expected to arrive in Port Cote, Gichadia, tonight at 21:35. Jeremy Volney will attend the Oath of Office and other induction ceremonies that will be held on Sunday at the Presidential Mansion in Port Cote after the election of John Newfield as the official President for the new nation. Newfield has held the title of Interim President as the island declared its independence. Several government officials and top-level businessmen are travelling with J. Volney, among them Admiral Jean Dunois, commander of the Melanian Sea Operations Area and C-in-C of the 2nd Fleet, Dr. François Beauharnois Roosenthaal, Chairman of Air Stervia (one of the major Stervian air transport companies), and several representatives of tourism leading companies. Wilhelmina Rouan, Stervian High Commissionner for the Brovoyoakes, will attend the ceremonies as well and is expected to travel on her own with her staff, departing from Thulé.

The Palais Vermeer (Foreign Affairs Department) announced today that the Stervian Confederation and the Kingdom of Vingarmark will swap embassies
Stervian ambassador-designate to Vingarmark in Markhamn is the present CEO of the Fiarran branch of Eylfalas Stervian Airlines (ex-Brolair), based in Vingarmark. Jean-Hugues de la Tour Buffel has a sound experience of public affairs, having been Consul General of Brolecia in Newton (Ordland) and Imperial City (Zartania). Jean-Hugues de la Tour was born on August 18, 268. He is well known as an art collector and co-founded at 24 the Shiraz Centre for Fine Arts. On the other hand, the new Vinnish ambassador to Stervia in Blakelock is Magnus Olufsson. He is a former journalist that has experiences in broadcasting, civil services, and linguistics (Phenixian and the Nordic languages).

Lafcadio Larrey d'Iberville was appointed today as Stervian ambassador to Sligomeagh by Arwen van Rossum
This decision closes the normalization of diplomatic relations with Cimera. The Cimeran ambassador to Stervia, Gui de Cauzay, was indeed appointed in February, 302. Lafcadio Julius Henri Larrey d'Iberville was born in Aerichoria, Brolecia, 21.11.254. He has two daughters. Holding a M.A. of the Faculty of Law in Aerichoria, he served for more than 30 years in the civil service of Brolecia and then Stervia as a magistrate. Proposed as ambassador to the Cimeran Government on 24.10.302, he is scheduled to take office on January the 4th, 302.

Long-awaited normalization of relations with Aethelnia finally achieved
Jeremy Volney, State counsellor in charge of foreign affairs, announced in person today in Blakelock the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Aethelnia and the Stervian Confederation. Roderic van Steenbrugge has been appointed ambassador to Aethelnia and will depart soon to take office in St. Thomas.

Foreign affairs department will not comment on relations with Porto Capital

Rumors about ongoing talks between Stervia and Porto Capital won't be discussed by the FAD
During a press conference held at the Palais Vermeer (Stervian Foreign Affairs Department), Erwan Delcourt addressed the rumors about ongoing diplomatic talks between Stervia and Porto Capital and the possible reopening of the border. 'The Government of the Confederation will not comment on this subject' said the Department Press Officer.

Completely new version of Stervia's official website unveiled
The Stervian Information Bureau (Service d'Information Générale du Gouvernement or SIGG) held a press conference today in Blakelock to unveil the new version of the official website for the Stervian Confederation.
